From Boardrooms to Big Questions
Before I ever thought of myself as a writer and trainer, I spent decades in the world of corporate leadership and digital connectivity. I built businesses, chased growth and lived by meeting in calendars. What truly energized me wasn’t the deals or the numbers, it was the people. Leading teams, mentoring younger colleagues and helping others recognize their strengths mattered more than any title. Over time, I realized that real success doesn’t live in boardrooms alone. Life needs space beyond work to feel meaningful.
What makes me wrote this book?
A Forgotten Book, a Global Pause
My relationship with the Yi Jing began almost by accident during a business trip. Interesting, then easily forgotten. Years later during the quiet isolation of the 2020 pandemic in Singapore, that brief encounter resurfaced. With the world slowing down, I finally had the space to listen and explore again. Curiosity turned into reflection; reflection turned into something much deeper than I ever expected.
What drew me to Yi Jing wasn’t mysticism, but it was its usefulness. The Yi Jing offered a practical way to think, decide and navigate uncertainty. I was fortunate to learn from several teachers who guided me. As I learned, my realization sparked my desire to make the Yi Jing accessible and usable, especially for people navigating modern life who simply want to make wiser choices for what lies ahead.
An Invitation, Not a Conclusion

Sharing the First Steps
From Curiosity to Clarity
Now in my retirement years, I have embraced a slower and a more intentional rhythm. I travel the world with my lovely wife, family and friends, exploring new cultures and perspectives.
When I am not travelling, I conduct introductory classes to those who are curious about Yi Jing. I love the sessions as it gives me the chance to demystify what can sometimes feel complex or intimidating and instead show the practical side of Yi Jing. These relaxing and interactive sessions focused on helping participants see how the Yi Jing can be applied to everyday decisions, personal growth while navigating life’s uncertainties. There’s something incredibly rewarding about watching someone light up with understanding, realizing that this ancient tool isn’t too distant or abstract.
